‘Two Gates of Sleep’ Debuts at Cannes

Press Release from Assimilate – May 20, 2010:

Vision On’s first color grading of a feature film – director/writer Alistair Banks Griffin’s “Two Gates of Sleep” — had its premiere at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Directors’ Fortnight on May 18. This speaks volumes about the caliber of work being done at Vision On, a New York-based digital imaging boutique specializing in Digital Cinema Production and Post. With the purchase of two RED Digital Cameras in 2007, the firm expanded its expertise from highly creative digital still capture and retouching to also include high-impact film and videos for the fashion industry, with a client list that reads like a who’s who in Women’s Wear Daily. Vision On began using ASSIMILATE’s SCRATCH® Digital Finishing Solution in August 2009 for the real-time conform, color grading, and finishing of imagery projects.

Bravo to designer duo Brian Wolk and Claude Morais of Ruffian! Their Fall/Winter 2010 collection was no exception to the beautiful designs presented throughout the week.  Vision On created  the FW 2010 video.

Jamie Isaia and Loeffler Randall

Photographer Jamie Isaia recently completed an ethereal video lookbook for the Soho-based label Loeffler Randall. Serene, suspenseful, with spot-on styling, T Magazine called the piece a “noteworthy development” in the history of fashion’s forays into digital.

Vision On worked with Isaia on the stills, which are currently featured in Loeffler Randall’s Spring-Summer 2010 campaign. More and more we think this kind of pairing of motion and stills will be the way to go for brands especially with Apple's recent announcement of the iPad.
